Kyle is about to die when SUPERMAN comes to his rescue. While supes tangles with Mongul. Kyle is roused by Alex and jumps right back into the fight, only to be tossed away like so much trash. Supes and mongul continue to battle as Alex worries for Kyle. Kyle jumps back in the fight again and send Mongul flying. While the trio fights Supes wants to know who Kyle is, Kyle says GL obviously, supes says not the one I know. They banter about Mongul and his mad on for GL the old one. Supes says Mongul doesn’t really care if he’s the same guy he just wants to kill him.

Supes takes over the battle as Kyle gets his bearings, Alex eggs him on to do something BIG. While he’s kinda in awe that THE superman is here helping him. In the end Kyle drops Mongul with a well placed subway train that literally steal rolls him. Supes commends him on his ring skills despite Kyle’s obliviousness to who the guardians and the corps. are.
